Easter fun and reflections

It's crazy to think that last year we had packed up our entire house, moved it into storage and started yet another new adventure! Easter last year was the first weekend we all were able to spend together as a family in Texas while Brett was at school. It was the first of many weekends Kenzie and I spent taking the 5 hour drive down to San Angelo from Bells, staying in a hotel and picking Brett up from school to spend as much time as we could! San Angelo soon became "our town," we discovered the cute places to shop and play, the good restaurants to eat at and all the neat festivals/fairs that the town had almost every weekend. We even got adventurous towards the end of our time in San Angelo and camped a few times at the rec camp near school! Me? Camping? Crazy. It was a great Easter weekend last year, we went to a church there and even took Kenzie to an Easter egg hunt held at one of the cutest parks near our hotel. Here's are some pics from our memories that weekend!

Anyways, back to this year...

Kenzie didn't really get into the bunny-festivities last year, didn't care to color eggs or really understand the concept of an easter egg hunt. This year she was full on totally about it all! We colored eggs a few times, went to a super sweet Easter egg hunt with some of her friends from MOPS and enjoyed a wonderful hike on Easter afternoon.

Coloring eggs with Dad, in a petti-skirt of course

The good ol' crayon trick! She loved seeing her name appear after dipping the egg in dye!

Back in the day we'd use coffee cups.

We'd also just use our fingers to dip the eggs. Thanks to pinterest, Kenzie's pretty fingers went untouched by the dye!

Easter morning golf!

Honor enjoyed watching Sis!

We didn't do a basket since those are just a waste, Easter Bunny brought Kenzie her gifts in a toy tote!

Note to self- hard boiled eggs outside in the Hawaii heat will not be yummy later...

Yep, I taped money to the eggs. Just like Mom used to do ;)
