1. Brett came home for 10 glorious days! And, I got pregnant.
2. Brett left for MCT in North Carolina for 5 weeks with no phone and no letter contact until the day before graduation
3. Jeff, Sue, Kenzie and I went to see Brett graduate from MCT.
4. Brett stayed at MCT for an extra week and then flew out to Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo, TX for his MOS school. His MOS was finally finalized as Aviation Support: Crash Fire Rescue (CFR for short).
5. Kenzie and I packed up the house, along with wonderful help from our amazing family and friends, and moved to Texas. We lived with his grandparents about an hour north of Dallas. Each weekend, Kenzie and I drove about 6 hours each way to visit with Brett.
6. We found out we were having another girl and plan to name her Honor Rose.
7.Kenzie and I packed up our stuff in TX and shipped it off to Michigan to be with our storage unit until the movers ship that all over to HI.
8. Brett graduated from his MOS school. Jeff and Sue flew down to attend graduation!
9. The next day, Brett, Kenzie and I, along with 9 suitcases, 3 carry-ons, a stroller and a car seat, moved to Hawaii.
10. We currently live in a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, kitchenette hotel suite about 20 minutes away from base. We are eagerly awaiting our house on base, currently #67 on the waiting list! Our car is in transit from TX and should be here within a month.
Phew! That's all, I think! It may have taken you more than 90 seconds to read the catch up but at least you are up to date! I hope to post much more often because I know that family and friends back home are dying to know what we are up to these days.
I am so proud of both of you. I know these past 18 months have not been easy on any of us. There have been so many exciting moments and just as many really tough ones. I can't even begin to tell you how hard it was to say goodbye at the Dallas airport, especially not knowing when I would see you again. It makes it easier just knowing that you are together and enjoying your adventures. I think all of the "Mom" feelings are worthy of their own blog, lol.
ReplyDeletePlease know that I love you dearly and miss you like crazy. I love the pictures that you send and appreciate the time you spend to stay in touch.
Enjoy your moments... all of them, big and small.
On a lighter note... we picked up the 9 boxes today and only one was messed up. We will put them in the storage unit along with all of the other stuff I want to send (Christmas is just around the corner).
Thanks for the update!
I love you dearly!
